PHindrance to Prayer

 

ఆయన నీ కార్యము నెరవేర్చును (కీర్తన 37:5). 

ఒకప్పుడు నేను అనుకునేదాన్ని. ఒక విషయం గురించి ప్రార్ధన చేసిన తరువాత ఆ విషయం నెరవేరడానికి మానవపరంగా నేను చెయ్యగలిగిందంతా చెయ్యాలి అని. అయితే దేవుడు సరైన మార్గాన్ని బోధించాడు. ఎలాగంటే నేను చేసే ప్రయత్నాలు ఆయన పనికి ఆటంకాలు తప్ప మరేమీ కాదని. ఒకసారంటూ ప్రార్ధించి, తప్పకుండా అది జరుగుతుందని నమ్మినట్టయితే ఆత్మలో స్తుతులు చెల్లిస్తూ వేచి యుండాలనీ, ఆయనేదైనా చెప్తే చెయ్యాలనీ నేర్పించాడు. కాని చేతులు ముడుచుకు కూర్చోవడం, ఏమీ చెయ్యకుండా కేవలం దేవుని మీద భారం వేసి ఊరకుండడం మనకి రుచించదు. పోరాటంలోకి మనం స్వయంగా దూకాలన్న శోధనను తట్టుకోవడం కష్టం.

నీళ్ళలో మునిగిపోతున్నవాడు తనను రక్షించడానికి వచ్చిన వాడిని తానే రక్షించాలని ప్రయత్నిస్తుంటే వాడి ప్రాణాలు కాపాడడం ఎంత కష్టమో మనకి తెలుసు. అలాగే మన పోరాటాలు మనమే పోరాడుతూ ఉంటే మన పక్షంగా యుద్ధం చెయ్యడం దేవునికి కష్టమైపోతుంది. మనం జోక్యం కలిగించుకోవడం ఆయన్ని అడ్డగించినట్టే.

ఇహలోకపు శక్తులు చురుకుగా పనిచేస్తుంటే ఆత్మ శక్తులు మెదలకుండా ఊరుకుంటాయి.

ప్రార్థనకి జవాబివ్వడానికి దేవుడు కొంత సమయం తీసుకోవచ్చు. ఈ సందర్భాలలో దేవుడికి మనం అసలు అవకాశమే ఇవ్వం. ఒక గులాబి పువ్వుకి రంగు వెయ్యడానికీ, ఒక దేవదారు చెట్టుని పెంచడానికీ, గోధుమ పొలాల్లోంచి రొట్టెలు తయారు చెయ్యడానికీ కొంత సమయం కావాలి. ముందు భూమిని మెత్తన చెయ్యాలి, పదును చెయ్యాలి, ఎరువు వెయ్యాలి, నీటితో తడపాలి. మొలకెత్తడానికి వేడిమి కావాలి. ఇవన్నీ చేసాక దేవుడు మొలకల్ని మొలిపిస్తాడు. వాటికి ఆకుల్ని, కంకుల్నీ అమరుస్తాడు. చివరికి కొంత కాలం గడిచాక ఆకలి కడుపుకి రొట్టెలు తయారవుతాయి.

దీనంతటికీ కొంతకాలం పడుతుంది. అందుకే మనం విత్తనాలు చల్లుతాము, దున్నుతాము. తరువాత కొంతకాలం నమ్మకంతో ఎదురు చూస్తాము. దేవుని పనంతా పూర్తయ్యేదాకా కనిపెడతాము. దేవునికి తన పని చెయ్యడానికి సమయాన్నిస్తాము. మన ప్రార్థన జీవితాల్లో కూడా ఇదే పాఠాన్ని మనం నేర్చుకోవాలి. ప్రార్థనలకి జవాబు ఇవ్వడానికి కొంత సమయం ఇవ్వండి.

I once thought that after I prayed that it was my duty to do everything that I could do to bring the answer to pass. He taught me a better way and showed that my self-effort always hindered His working and that when I prayed and definitely believed Him for anything, He wanted me to wait in the spirit of praise, and only do what He bade me. It seems so unsafe to just sit still, and do nothing but trust the Lord, and the temptation to take the battle into our own hands is often tremendous.

We all know how impossible it is to rescue a drowning man who tries to help his rescuer, and it is equally impossible for the Lord to fight our battles for us when we insist upon trying to fight them ourselves. It is not that He will not, but He cannot. Our interference hinders His working. —C.H.P.

Spiritual forces cannot work while earthly forces are active.

It takes God time to answer prayer. We often fail to give God a chance in this respect. It takes time for God to paint a rose. It takes time for God to grow an oak. It takes time for God to make bread from wheat fields. He takes the earth. He pulverizes. He softens. He enriches. He wets with showers and dews. He warms with life. He gives the blade, the stock, the amber grain, and then at last the bread for the hungry.

All this takes time. Therefore we sow, and till, and wait, and trust, until all God’s purpose has been wrought out. We give God a chance in this matter of time. We need to learn this same lesson in our prayer life. It takes God time to answer prayer. —J. H. M.

Diamond in the Rough

 

వీటి అన్నిటిని బట్టి యోచించుకొనిన యెడల యెహోవా హస్తము వీటిని కలుగజేసెనని

తెలిసికొనలేనివాడెవడు? (యోబు 12:9).

 చాలా సంవత్సరాల క్రితం ఆఫ్రికాలోని ఒక గనిలో ప్రపంచ చరిత్ర అంతటిలో కనీ వినీ ఎరుగని ప్రశస్తమైన వజ్రం ఒకటి దొరికింది. దాన్ని ఇంగ్లాండు దేశపు రాజుకి ఆయన కిరీటంలో పొదగడం కోసం బహుమతిగా ఇచ్చారు. ఆయన దాన్ని మెరుగు పెట్టించడానికి ఆమ్ స్టెర్డామ్ నగరానికి పంపాడు. ఒక నిపుణుడైన వజ్రకారుడికి దాన్ని అప్పగించారు. దాన్ని అతను ఏం చేసాడనుకున్నారు?

ఆ అమూల్యమైన రాయిని తీసుకుని చిన్న గాడి చేసాడు. తన పనిముట్టును ఆ గాడిలో పెట్టి ఒక దెబ్బ కొట్టాడు. ఆ వజ్రం రెండు ముక్కలైంది! ఎంత నిర్లక్ష్యం, ఎంత వ్యర్ధం అయిపోయింది? అంత అజాగ్రత్త ఏమిటి? అనుకుంటున్నారా?

పొరపాటు, కొన్ని వారాల పాటు ఆ దెబ్బని ఎక్కడ ఎలా వేయాలి అని అతి జాగ్రత్తగా ఆలోచనలు జరిగాయి. ఆ వజ్రపు రాయిని అన్ని కోణాలనుంచి పరిశీలించి బొమ్మలు గీసుకున్నారు. దాని నాణ్యత, దానిలో ఉన్న లొసుగులు, పగుళ్ళు అన్నిటినీ అతి జాగ్రత్తగా అర్ధం చేసుకున్నారు. ఎందుకంటే ఆ వజ్రాన్ని పదును పెట్టడానికి తీసుకున్నది ప్రపంచంలోకెల్లా అత్యంత నిపుణత గల వజ్రకారుడు.

దాన్నలా మధ్యలోకి పగలగొట్టడం పొరపాటనుకోకండి. అది ఆ నిపుణుడి నేర్పుకి పరాకాష్ట. ఆ వజ్రాన్ని దానికి ఉండగలిగినంత మెరుపూ, సౌందర్యమూ, కళ తీసుకురావాలంటే ఆ దెబ్బ పడాలి. మొత్తంగా ఉన్నదాన్ని రెండుముక్కలు చేసి చెడగొట్టినట్టు పైకి కనిపించినా దానికి అత్యంత సౌష్టవాన్ని చేకూర్చడానికి అది జరగాల్సిందే. ఎందుకంటే ఈ రెండు ముక్కలనుంచి అపూర్వమైన వజ్రాలు తయారైనాయి. వాటిలో నిగూఢమై ఉన్న కోణాలు, మెరుపులు ఆ వజ్రకారుడి కన్ను కనిపెట్టింది.

ఇలాగే దేవుడు నీ జీవితంపై ఒక్కోసారి పగలగొట్టే దెబ్బ పడనిస్తుంటాడు. రక్తం కారుతుంది. నరాలు లాగుతాయి. ఆత్మ బాధతో మూలుగుతుంది. ఆ దెబ్బ దేవుడు చేసిన పొరపాటని నీకనిపిస్తుంది. కాని అది నిజం కాదు. దేవుడికి నువ్వొక అమూల్యమైన రత్నానివి. ఆయన విశ్వమంతటిలోనూ అతి నిపుణుడైన రత్నాల పనివాడు.

ఒకరోజున నిన్ను తీసుకెళ్ళి ఓ రాజు పెట్టుకున్న కిరీటంలో పొదుగుతారు. అయితే ఇప్పుడు మాత్రం నువ్వు దేవుని చేతిలో ఉన్నావు. నీతో ఏం చెయ్యాలో ఆయనకి తెలుసు. దేవుని ప్రేమ చొప్పున తప్ప వేరే విధంగా ఒక్క దెబ్బ కూడా నీ మీద పడదు. నీవు ఊహించని, ఆలోచించని ఆత్మీయాశీర్వాదాలు ఆ దెబ్బ మూలాన నీకు సమకూడుతాయి.

జార్జి మెక్ డోనాల్డ్ రాసిన పుస్తకంలో ఈ సంభాషణ ఉంది.

“దేవుడు నన్నెందుకు చేసాడో అర్ధం కావడం లేదు, నన్ను చేయడం వల్ల ప్రయోజనమేమిటో నాకర్ధం కాదు.” మిసెస్ ఫేబర్ అంది కసిగా.

"ఇప్పుడప్పుడే నీకర్ధం కాదేమో. అయితే నిన్నింకా దేవుడు వదిలెయ్యలేదుగా. ఇంకా నిన్ను తయారుచేస్తూనే ఉన్నాడు. తయారీలో ఉండగానే విసుక్కుంటున్నావు.” అంది డోరతి. 

మనుషులు తామింకా తయారవుతున్న స్థితిలోనే ఉన్నామని నమ్మాలి. దేవునికిష్టం వచ్చినట్టుగా తమని తయారుచేయడానికి సమ్మతించాలి. కుమ్మరివాడు మట్టికి చేసినట్టుగా దేవుడు తమపట్ల చెయ్యడానికి విధేయులవుతూ ఉండాలి. ఈ తయారీలు వాళ్ళ మీదికి వచ్చే పీడనాలనూ, ఉలిదెబ్బలనూ ఓపికతో ఆహ్వానిస్తూ ఉండాలి. నొప్పిగా ఉన్నప్పటికీ భరిస్తూ ఉండాలి. ఇలా చేస్తే తాము చివరికి ఎలాటి రూపుదిద్దుకుంటారో గుర్తిస్తారు. తమని కుమారులుగా మహిమలోకి తీసుకురావాలన్న ఆయన ఉద్దేశాలను కనుగొంటారు.

The hand of the Lord hath wrought this (Job - 12:9)

Several years ago there was found in an African mine the most magnificent diamond in the world. It was presented to the King of England to blaze in his crown of state. The King sent it to Amsterdam to be cut. It was put into the hands of an expert lapidary. And what do you suppose he did with it?

He took the gem of priceless value and cut a notch in it. Then he struck it a hard blow with his instrument, and lo! the superb jewel lay in his hand cleft in twain. What recklessness! What wastefulness! What criminal carelessness!

Not so. For days and weeks, that blow had been studied and planned. Drawings and models had been made of the gem. Its quality, its defects, its lines of cleavage had all been studied with the minutest care. The man to whom it was committed was one of the most skillful lapidaries in the world.

Do you say that blow was a mistake? Nay. It was the climax of the lapidary’s skill. When he struck that blow, he did the one thing which would bring that gem to its most perfect shapeliness, radiance, and jeweled splendor. That blow that seemed to ruin the superb precious stone was, in fact, its perfect redemption. For, from those two halves were wrought the two magnificent gems which the skilled eye of the lapidary saw hidden in the rough, uncut stone as it came from the mine.

So, sometimes, God lets a stinging blow fall upon your life. The blood spurts. The nerves wince. The soul cries out in agony. The blow seems to you an appalling mistake. But it is not, for you are the most priceless jewel in the world to God. And He is the most skilled lapidary in the universe.

Some day you are to blaze in the diadem of the King. As you lie in His hand now He knows just how to deal with you. Not a blow will be permitted to fall upon your shrinking soul but that the love of God permits it, and works out from its depths, blessing and spiritual enrichment unseen, and unthought of by you. —J. In one of George MacDonald’s books occurs this fragment of conversation: “I wonder why God made me,” said Mrs. Faber bitterly. “I’m sure I don’t know what was the use of making me!”

“Perhaps not much yet,” said Dorothy, “but then He hasn’t done with you yet. He is making you now, and you are quarreling with the process.”

If men would but believe that they are in process of creation, and consent to be made—let the Maker handle them as the potter the clay, yielding themselves in resplendent motion and submissive, hopeful action with the turning of His wheel—they would ere long find themselves able to welcome every pressure of that hand on them, even when it was felt in pain; and sometimes not only to believe but to recognize the Divine end in view, the bringing of a son unto glory.

“Not a single shaft can hit,  

Till then God of love sees fit.”

విమోచించగలవాడు దేవుడొక్కడే

 ◆  బంధకములనుండి విడుదల అవసరం: 

             ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు ఐగుప్తు లో 430 సంవత్సరములు బానిసలుగా బాధలను అనుభవించుచున్నపుడు వారు పెట్టిన మొఱ్ఱ కృప కలిగిన దేవుడు ఆలకించి వారిని విడిపించుటకు మోషే ను పంపించాడు. యూదా జనాంగము బబులోనులో చేరలోనుండుటకు కొనిపోబడిన 70 సంవత్సరముల తరువాత వారిని బంధకముల నుండి విడిపించాడు. 

● విమోచనకై మార్గాలు ●

◆  విమోచించగలవాడు దేవుడొక్కడే: 

             

"కాబట్టి ఐగుప్తీయుల చేతిలోనుండి వారిని విడిపించుటకును, ఆ దేశములోనుండి విశాలమైన మంచి దేశమునకు, అనగా కనానీయులకు హిత్తీయులకు అమోరీయులకు పెరిజ్జీయు లకు హివ్వీయులకు యెబూసీయులకు నివాసస్థానమై, పాలు తేనెలు ప్రవహించు దేశమునకు వారిని నడిపించు టకును దిగివచ్చి యున్నాను. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మొర నిజముగా నాయొద్దకు చేరినది, ఐగుప్తీయులు వారినిపెట్టు చున్న హింస చూచితిని." (నిర్గమ 3: 8,9).

◆  విమోచించుటకు ఒక మధ్యవర్తి కావాలి:

          "కాగా రమ్ము, నిన్ను ఫరోయొద్దకు పంపెదను; ఇశ్రాయేలీయులైన నా ప్రజలను నీవు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి తోడుకొని పోవలెననెను. (నిర్గమ 3:10)."  ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తమ కష్టకాలంలో దేవునికి మొఱ్ఱపెట్టగా మొదట మోషేను, ఒకసారి ఒత్నియేలును, ఒకసారి ఏ హుదును, ఒకసారి గిద్యోనును ( న్యాయాధిపతులు 3:9,15; 6:14) వారికి రక్షకులుగా పంపితివి. మనం పాపులుముగా ఉండగా యేసే స్వయముగా రక్షకునిగా (మత్త 1:21) వచ్చియున్నాడు. 

◆  విమోచించుటకు రక్తం అవసరం:

             "మీరున్న యిండ్లమీద ఆ రక్తము మీకు గురుతుగా ఉండును. నేను ఆ రక్తమును చూచి మిమ్మును నశింప చేయక దాటిపోయెదను. నేను ఐగుప్తుదేశమును పాడు చేయుచుండగా మిమ్ము సంహరించుటకు తెగులు మీ మీదికి రాదు." (నిర్గమ 12:13). ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పస్కా పశువు రక్తమును తమ ఇంటి ద్వారము యొక్క కమ్మీ మీద చిలకరించుట ద్వార దేవుని ఆజ్ఞ నెరవేర్చి మరణము నుండి తప్పింపబడి యున్నారు. మానమింక పాపులమై యుండగా పస్కా పశువుగా యేసే విధింప బడి ఆ రక్తము ద్వార మనం రక్షింపబడియున్నాము. "అయితే ఆయన వెలుగులోనున్న ప్రకారము మనమును వెలుగులో నడిచినయెడల. మనము అన్యోన్యసహవాసము గలవారమైయుందుము; అప్పుడు ఆయన కుమారుడైన యేసు రక్తము ప్రతి పాపమునుండి మనలను పవిత్రులనుగా చేయును. (1 యెహను 1:7)".

◆  విమోచించుటకు బహువు (ఒక శక్తి ) అవసరం: 

             "కాబట్టి నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుమునేనే యెహోవాను; నేను ఐగుప్తీయులు మోయించు బరువుల క్రింద నుండి మిమ్మును వెలుపలికి రప్పించి, వారి దాసత్వములో నుండి మిమ్మును విడిపించి, నా బాహువు చాపి గొప్ప తీర్పులుతీర్చి మిమ్మును విడిపించెదను (నిర్గమ 6:6)."

"నేను ఏర్పరచు నా నీతి సమీపముగా ఉన్నది నేను కలుగజేయు రక్షణ బయలుదేరుచున్నది నా బాహువులు జనములకు తీర్పుతీర్చును ద్వీపవాసులు నా తట్టు చూచి నిరీక్షణ గలవా రగుదురు వారు నా బాహువును ఆశ్రయింతురు. (యెషయా 51:5)"

ఉగ్రత నుండి తప్పించుకొనుటకు, విమోచింపబడుటకు యేసు యొక్క బహువు అవసరం.

◆  విమోచించడానికి ఒక దినం అవసరం: 

          ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు 450 సంవత్సరములు గడిచిన తరువాతే యెహోవా సేనలు ఐగుప్తు నుండి బయలుదేరి పోయెను. ఆనాడే పస్కా (15th of Bisan). ఇది దైవ నిర్ణయం. ఇది ఆదిలో అబ్రాహామును పిలిచిన దినమున దేవుడు బయలుపరచాడు (ఆది 15:14). ఆ మహా దేవుని ప్రణాళిక ఎంత సుధీర్ఘమైనది? మరి మన విషయమైతే ప్రతి వ్యక్తి రక్షణ  (విమోచన) గూర్చి ఒక దినము నిర్ణయించాడు (హెబ్రీ 4:7),  ఇదిగో ఇదియే రక్షణ దినము (2కోరింది 6:2). కాబట్టి రక్షణ పొందుటకు ఆలస్యము చేయకు. మంచి రోజు అని చూడకు. ఎందుకంటే రేపు నీది కాదేమో!

             ప్రియమైన సహోదరుడా, సహోదరీ నీవు మరణము యొక్క బలము నుండి, ధర్మశాస్త్ర శాపము నుండి, దుర్నీతి నుండి, సాతాను బంధకముల నుండి విడుదల పొందితివా? అవును అంటే దేవునికి వందనములు. ఇంకా లేదు అంటే నేడే నిన్ను నీవు దేవునికి అప్పగించుకో. ఎందుకనగా నీకు నీవు విడిపించుకోలేవు సుమా! విమోచింపబడిన ఇశ్రాయేలు వలె ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రం దాటి, యెర్ధను దాటి కనాను చేరాలి. విమోచింపబడిన గాడిద వలె ప్రభువుని కలిగి యెరూషలేము చేరాలి. అలా చేరుటకు ఆ ప్రభువు సహాయం చేయును గాక! ఆమెన్!!!
